One of Palm Healthcare Foundation’s four strategic priorities.
The Center for Disease Control considers family caregiving a major health issue. Unpaid caregivers provide approximately 90% of the long term care provided at home. The care that they provide saves the nation millions in healthcare costs. It has become increasingly apparent that the growing numbers of individuals who find themselves in the role of caregiver are ill equipped for the task. Our aging population will only exacerbate this dilemma in the years ahead. Palm Healthcare Foundation is committed to finding innovative ways to assist our ever-growing number of family caregivers.
