Novice Nurse Leadership Institute
The Novice Nurse Leadership Institute (NNLI) is an education/practice partnership designed to create sustainable change in our nursing community by strengthening the competency of new nurses along a variety of dimensions; providing support and coping skills for new nurses to reduce turnover in the first year of practice, and; creating a pool of future nurse leaders to serve our community and the entire nursing profession.
The NNLI is structured to support novice nurses as they transition from school to the workplace; enhance their knowledge base so they may function effectively in, and make valuable contributions to, their organizations and the healthcare system; promote articulation to higher levels of education; expose and engage novice nurses in leadership from the outset of practice; and form a network of future nurse leaders.
The NNLI is funded by Palm Healthcare Foundation and housed at the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), under the umbrella of FAU’s Nursing Leadership Institute. Click here to visit the NNLI website.
