You may be familiar with Palm Healthcare Foundation’s “Better Health Campaigns,” two of our most popular being the Let’s Move: Commit to Change Physical Activity Challenge and Thank a Nurse. The Palm Healthcare Foundation team is thrilled to announce the addition of another Better Health Campaign launching in January of 2018, which focuses on a hot topic in health: brain fitness.
Most of us have heard that it’s important to care for our physical bodies by eating nutritious food and exercising in order to live a long, healthy life. But did you know that you can train your brain to live healthier too? Your brain can’t do push-ups or run laps, but you can train it to minimize the harmful effects of stress and achieve balance in your life.
Train the Brain is a month-long campaign taking place between January 16 and February 16, 2018. During the campaign, Palm Healthcare Foundation urges Palm Beach County residents to visit www.TraintheBrainPBC.org to take the brain fitness pledge. The pledge will guide participants in making conscious changes in their thinking and habits to integrate brain fitness into their daily routines.
On the website, participants will also find helpful brain fitness techniques, a calendar of FREE brain health events happening throughout the county and numerous brain health resources available in our community!
Train the Brain will launch with a luncheon on January 19, 2018, where attendees will hear from renowned neuroscientist and researcher Dr. Amishi Jha. The title of Dr. Jha’s presentation is “Building Brain Fitness.” Visit the Palm Healthcare Foundation website to reserve a table or purchase a luncheon ticket.
The Palm Healthcare Foundation team hopes that you will join us in the commitment to be brain fit this January!
Thank you to our Train the Brain campaign and luncheon sponsors for supporting brain health in our community:
