West Palm Beach, FL - Palm Healthcare Foundation, Inc. (PHF) recently hosted its Second Annual Grantee Retreat for the local non-profit organizations it supports through grant funding. The retreat was held at the Marriott on Hutchinson Island, Florida.
"Over 70 representatives from area medical and social service organizations, universities and hospitals participated in educational sessions that will strengthen their internal capacity and enhance their ability to collaborate and share resources with other agencies in the community," said Suzette Wexner, President of PHF. "Palm Healthcare Foundation is proud to help not-for-profit organizations achieve their organizational goals and fulfill their missions to serve the residents of Palm Beach County."
Some of the organizations in attendance included American Lung Association, Alzheimer's Community Care, Inc., Easter Seals, Glades Health Initiative, Health Care District of Palm Beach County, Hospice By the Sea, Interfaith Health and Wellness Association, Joseph L. Morse Geriatric Center, Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches, Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Migrant Association of South Florida, New Hope Charities, Palm Beach Habilitation Center, St. Ann Place, Samaritan Gardens Community Health Center, Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County, Urban League of Palm Beach County and Wayside House.
"The retreat presented an excellent opportunity to network with representatives from other non-profit organizations," said Dr. Alan Sadowsky of Joseph L. Morse Geriatric Center, Morse Seniors Campus. "Sharing ideas and strategies is always valuable."
