The B.J. and Paula Harris Fund supports the Behavioral Health Fund with this grant. It will serve as one of the lead gifts of a $1million/2 year fundraising campaign to bring evidence-based and community-based behavioral health programs to Healthier Together communities.

El Sol Neighborhood Resource Center

This funding contributes to the salary of the Sunshine Organic Community Garden manager. The purpose of the garden is to educate and empower all people in Jupiter to grow their own healthy foods using sustainable and organic methods.

Wellington Cares provides short-term services designed to provide choices and offer independence for persons 65 years of age and older in our community if it is their desire to “age in place” in their own home. This funding will plan for the expansion of the Wellington Cares model to other areas of Palm Beach County.

Funding supports the Volunteer Nurse Corps (VNC), an innovative program that helps residents in Palm Beach County who are struggling to care for themselves. The VNC is comprised of working, retired and student nurses who volunteer their time to connect our vulnerable neighbors to existing resources, provide follow-up to appointments, and educate and empower them to take charge of their health.
